My MythTV Experiences, Tips, and Tricks
I, like many Linux (and TV) enthusiasts, have gone about my tinkering to construct a MythTV box. Myth is a Free, open-source system that serves as a PVR. Myth has a reputation of being simple, easy-to-use, and powerful. Being new to the PVR scene, I can only say that I have been very impressed with the performance and the design.
That's not to say it was easy to set up. Then again, I wanted to 'do things right' and build things from scratch. Why? Because I wanted to both tinker and feel like I understood the system better. I also did things this way because I needed to employ the use of some bleeding edge experimental drivers for my hardware. (What Linux story would be complete without some of this kind of activity? ;))
So, this section of my website has been dedicated to my Myth experiences. I'll do my best to update it as I find time. Hopefully it will have helpful tips, tricks, and other information about building, configuring, and using this excellent software package!
